Armed with an MBA in Strategic Business from HEC Paris Aysha Al Romaihi’s agile and progressive mindset has paved the way for a truly pioneering career, much to the advantage of Qatar’s entrepreneurial scene. As the Manager of Special Programs – Incubation; Project Manager of Scale7 at Qatar Development Bank, QDB. Aysha brings a wealth of expertise and experience to a role that ties together two of her deepest passions; a genuine desire to guide and support start-ups in Qatar and her appreciation and love for fashion and design.

Aysha has been behind many strategic initiatives and business collaborations at Qatar Business Incubation Centre (QBIC), responsible for the growth of numerous verticals in tourism, and technology, realising the many different expansion opportunities for start-ups in Qatar. With a special focus on Fashion she has been involved with the renowned annual HEYA exhibition since 2013, implementing panel discussions and workshops in a bid to attract more creative entrepreneurs within the fashion and design industry to apply for QBIC’s business incubation services. Taking the helm, she spearheaded a number of QBIC’s forward-thinking initiatives. This includes the successful Lean Fashion Programme (LFP), launched in 2019, to motivate local entrepreneurs and designers to venture into the fashion and design industry; followed by the launch of Scale 7, Qatar’s first Fashion and Design business incubator for innovative entrepreneurs in Qatar, in collaboration with M7, a creative start-up hub operating under Qatar Museums.

Aysha’s unyielding and immersive approach to work, and lifestyle, go hand-in-hand. She’s a self-proclaimed student of life and continuous learning by, submersing herself into the pages of fashion and business books, or delving into the deep-rooted documentaries of infamous fashion houses and department stores. For Aysha, knowledge is power, and she has a raw and natural yearning to nurture start-ups and help them to succeed. With coaching sessions, branding advice, marketing know-how, and everything in between, Aysha provides a wholesome insight into the world of fashion and design business for start-ups in Qatar.

Culturally-aware and unapologetically herself, Aysha thrives in a fast-paced environment. She is a woman who strides effortlessly in her most adored designer pieces to a job in which she is not afraid to work hard, be effective, and get results. With a clear focus on strategic partnerships, networking and providing opportunities to empower entrepreneurs, Aysha’s aim is to continue tapping into Qatar’s undiscovered start-up talents in fashion, design and tech– for that, she shows no signs of slowing down anytime soon.
